Search and Selection

Your most important hires need more than a standard recruitment process. Our Executive Search team contributes to the success of our clients’ organisations by helping them Access, Assess and Retain the best possible talent, not just the available talent.

With more than fifty years combined talent we identify and entice quality candidates and fully assess them to ensure they are a successful, positive hire that benefits your business.
Let’s face the brutal facts. For too many years now the executive search market has stood still. Most industries and businesses have changed radically over the last twenty years and yet the big players in search and selection have been happy to stand still, demanding clients dance to their tune and manipulating the market for their own financial gains.
So, it’s time for a new dawn in search and selection. A new, innovative solution that combines award-winning technology, with the professionalism and expertise associated with executive recruitment and the pace and agility found in contingent recruitment.
We are more than Executive Search.
At Executive Heads, our purpose is to add to your success and help you financially prosper by helping you to access, assess and retain the best leadership and director level talent.
After all, those with the best people will win in business.
Access:
Placing an advert or sending a bunch of LinkedIn Inmail’s is not enough to tempt the best, most discerning talent. We use our experience to identify the best possible talent, the 6%; and our craft to entice them into processes for you. Targeting passive candidates has many benefits for you as an employer. You are unlikely to be competing in a recruitment process so won’t experience the pressures of time or salary negations leveraged against you.

Assess:
For years search and selection businesses have put all the responsibility for making the correct choice squarely on the client. The so-called experts are happy to sift the most capable of the available candidates and expect you to make a choice. Combined with this most businesses are only conducting the first two stages of assessment; ‘Appear to’ and ‘Can do’. They are making decisions based on previous performance and that is not a guarantee of future performance.
Recent reports have shown that 46% of all hires will be classed as failures in the first eighteen months. And of that 46%, 89% are deemed unsuccessful due to behaviour misalignment.
At Executive Heads, we work with our clients to seek alignment between stakeholders to ensure that we have not only the skills and experience required in the role but the behaviours that are likely to make someone successful.
Retain:
This is where most Search and Selection consultancies leave you. You will have a couple of “check-in calls” ensuring that the placed candidate is in post and won’t be leaving before the agreed rebate period.
Through a panel of independent coaches, we support your new hires with a ninety days accelerator programme designed to speed up their impact on your business, reduce the burden on your resources whilst onboarding your new executive and increasing your retention and engagement.
What says you care about your new employees more than investing in them before they even start in your business?
Research shows us that new executives that have a strong sponsor and an independent coach are better equipped handle the first few challenging months and more likely to perform better over the remainder of their time in a company.
If you don’t want to accept mediocracy but instead you want to partner with a forward-thinking recruitment partner that will give candidates a quality experience that creates advocates of your business and brings you the best talent, then feel free to get in touch, or to see how we do this click here.
