About the Role:

Executive Heads has been retained to appoint a Chief Executive Officer for an established, privately owned textiles business in Manchester.

This is a newly created role, reporting to the CEO and managing a Senior Leadership of six, including Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Finance, HR and IT with full P&L responsibility.

The new COO will be a key partner to the CEO and will be responsible for aligning company strategy with key priorities and executing the business plan. They will take responsibility for all internal functions, people, processes, and systems, driving efficiencies, capability, and effectiveness to grow revenue and profitability.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for P&L, driving year on year business growth and profitability, implementing cost-cutting measures where necessary.
  • Lead and guide internal departments ensuring the clarity of targets and objectives to execute the annual business plan.
  • Driving a continuous improvement culture, focused on onboarding new customers quickly and effectively and creating better processes and systems across the organisation.
  • Develop management information (MI) and reporting for use in board meetings to enable better, data-led, strategic decision-making.
  • Efficiently executing and delivering projects within the organisation, involving strategic planning, and ensuring successful outcomes through effective coordination and leadership.
  • Enabling better communication and collaboration between teams.
  • Monitoring and managing sustainability measures and strategy.
  • Managing the appraisal system to keep track of development, training, and support.

The Person:
 
We are looking for someone with a demonstrable track record of success in a similar role. Someone who can demonstrate that they have driven performance, revenue, and profitability. As a result, we are looking for a goal and target-orientated individual with strong social capabilities who is driven and independent.
